Our good friends at CUR1350 (Cambridge Uni Radio) won Best Student Station at the Student Radio Awards last year and have been given some airtime on Radio 1. They’ve got the early morning breakfast show which goes out between 5am and 7am which you can listen to live through your wireless (97-99FM) or by logging onto the Radio 1 website and hitting the listen/podcast button.
- To coincide with ’Heartlines’ being aired on arguably the worlds most famous radio station, we have uploaded a video to our myspace page of us performing the track from our recent gig at The Bull and Gate. Keep your eyes peeled on the myspace page and on YouTube as more footage from this gig will follow shortly.

- Hello All! Thanks to everyone who came down to our gigs at The Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen on Wednesday and The Fat Surfer on Friday. Both nights were wicked and we really appreciate all the kind words you've been leaving for us since.
- Our next gig is another London one, at The Bull and Gate in Kentish Town this Friday 15th Feb, we're on at 10pm. It's £6 but you can get in for a fiver by printing off a flyer from our myspace page. It should be a good'un, XFM's weekend breakfast show DJ Marsha Shandur came to The Hoxton show last Wednesday and left with a CD, she kindly mentions it in her recent blog:
- "The October Game @ Bull and Gate - The October Game make big, rolling, dark indie. Lots of filled out with acoustic guitar and fiddle sounds, shuffly fast-drums and yearning vocals. I'd be gobsmacked if they weren't excellent live!"
- Well, that's all for now, hope to see you soon. Luke, Nick, Ollie and Owen

- You may well have noticed we have a new track up on the myspace site, "Threads". Our friends at the Box Office show on BBC Three Counties Radio noticed and played it on the Box office show last night (Thursday 3rd Jan) and also rang Luke up for a quick chat. If you missed it you can check it out at www.bbc.co.uk/threecounties , just select "listen again" and find The Box Office Show (We're on right near the end!)
- Hello there everyone. We hope you all had a good Christmas and are looking forward to a happy new year. Firstly we'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who has shown their love and support to us over this last year, especially if you've seen us at one of our gigs or have bought a copy of our album: "Box of a Billion Lights".
- But, what's happening in 2008? Well besides obviously the start of the UK's digital switch over and the centenary of the creation of Vimto, The October Game will be gigging a lot more, in more places, with more new material. We'll also be recording a lot more, and so there'll be a regular stream of new material on this very website for you to feast your greedy little ears on.
- And finally, you'll notice there's a new track on our myspace. "Threads" was recorded at our homes in the autumn just as a one off, hope you enjoy it.
